This facility is Europe’s largest acoustic test facility, specified and designed for the generation of acoustic noise levles and spectral shapes. The wide range of parameters settings covers the simulation of acoustic environments, seen by space hardware during launch as well as the simulation of acoustic environment experienced by aeronautical and/or automotive systems and equipments. The facility comprises a nitrogen production plant, a noise generation system, a reverberation chamber and a measurement and control system.
